Supported equipment
Solar Split reads your inverter, battery and meters. It never controls them. Find your brand below.
Only the builder's own Enphase and Shelly setup has been run on real hardware so far. Everything else is built from vendor documentation, and we will prove it on real homes with beta customers before we say it works.
Meters and what they measure
Dwelling meter
A sub-meter on one home's circuits. It measures that home's own consumption. You need one on at least one dwelling, for example a Shelly EM or an Eastron SDM230 or SDM630.
Site meter or inverter gateway
Reads total site consumption, or grid import and export, and solar production. A solar inverter or gateway with consumption clamps does this, and so does a whole-site meter.
The other dwelling
No meter is needed. Its use is the site total minus the metered dwelling.
Meters are not included in the kit. The kit has the hub only. Meter readings are for information only: they let Solar Split share a bill fairly, and the retailer's own meter and bill stay the authority. Fitting a meter to a circuit may need a licensed electrician, and we do not install.
The meter must be one of the supported models listed on the Equipment page; unsupported meters cannot be read by the hub.

Do I have what I need?
- A meter measuring at least one dwelling's own use, or I am ready to add one, and it is one of the supported models above.
- A way to read total site consumption or grid import and export, and solar production: an inverter or gateway with consumption clamps, or a whole-site meter.
- My brands are on the list below, or I have told Solar Split what I have.
If you cannot tick all three, the split cannot be calculated yet. Tell us what you have and we will say what is missing.
